Jason Momoa will receive a “CinemaCon Rising Star of 2011 Award,” the trade show’s organisers announced last Friday.
Not yet a household name, Momoa hopes to change that playing the title role in next summer’s “Conan the Barbarian.” He also has a key part on the small screen, playing a warlord in the HBO series “Game of Thrones.” Momoa’s first big break was in the television show “Stargate: Atlantis.”
He will pick up his hardware at CinemaCon’s awards ceremony on the final night of the exhibition, Thusday, March 31.
