Launching on April 1st 2008 is the first in a series of six brand new audio adventures featuring the stars of Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis. Available on CD and Internet download, Stargate SG-1/Atlantis: The Audio Adventures promise to keep listeners happy during the show’s hiatus.
Each release is a one-hour partially dramatized talking book, read by one of the original cast and also featuring a second character, augmented by spectacular sound effects and a specially-written score. There will be three releases starring Stargate SG-1 actors, and three featuring members of the Stargate Atlantis cast.
The series opens with an adventure for Dr. Daniel Jackson, voiced by Michael Shanks, as the SG-1 team try to piece together the mystery of why Stargate Command is connected to an alternate reality. May’s release features former Stargate Atlantis team member Dr. Elizabeth Weir, voiced by Torri Higginson, in a sticky situation while negotiating a trade agreement off-world.
The first season of the audio dramas will also feature Claudia Black as Vala Mal Doran, Teryl Rothery as Dr. Janet Fraiser, Paul McGillion as Dr. Carson Beckett and David Nykl as Dr. Radek Zelenka.
