The highly anticipated third spin off series Stargate Universe is still stuck in limbo. Although executive producers Copper and Brad Wright have finished their pilot proposals for the series, it still has to be signed off officially by Sci-Fi.
Whether the highly anticipated third spin off series will ever see the light of day on network television is still unclear.
At the moment it is clear that Sci-Fi are heavily promoting and endorsing Stargate Atlantis, and their previous hit show Stargate SG1 with their direct to DVD release movies.
As always Stargate Universe could still make its way to network television. If Sci-Fi follows their previous rules, we could see the show introduced around season seven of Stargate Atlantis.
