The season premiere of Stargate Atlantis has received its highest ever viewer audiences over any previous season.
Search and Rescue kicked off the fifth season with an impressive 1.8 million total viewers, which was 6% up over the season four premiere episode Adrift.
Overall the viewer rating for Search and Rescue reached a high of 1.3, although slightly less than episodes which aired towards the end of season four.
