The season premiere of Stargate Universe appears to have gotten off to a great start in the United States of America with the show pulling in an impressive 2.35 million viewers with an average rating of 1.7.
Although slightly lower than the studios had hoped for when compared to the sheer volume of online and offline advertising this is still an impressive figure and is the largest for the Stargate franchise since the season two premiere of Stargate Atlantis.
The season premiere of Stargate Universe also provides some contrast on the season finale of Stargate Atlantis which attracted 2 million viewers and earned a 1.5 household rating.
All new episodes of Stargate Universe continue every Friday night in the United States of America with global listings arriving a few days later.
