When Earth uncovers a working cartouche to decipher the coding system of Earth's stargate, they can now travel anywhere. Earth's military sends out SG teams to explore new planets, find technology, and oppose the Goa'uld. Jack O'Neill and Daniel Jackson from the movie are part of SG-1

They are joined by Sam Carter, a scientist, and Teal'c, a Jaffa who is convinced the Goa'uld are not gods

After Daniel Jackson was temporarily killed off in Season 6 they brought in Jonas Quinn, a scientist from another planet, to take Jackson's place. In Season 9, Jack O'Neill left the team and was replaced by Lt. Colonel Cameron Mitchell as team leader


Season One
The U.S. government creates Stargate Command to explore the galaxy and acquire advanced technologies to defend Earth. SG-1 makes many new friends -- and new enemies
Season Two
The team encounters a Goa'uld resistance movement and forms an alliance with the Tok'ra. Captain Carter's life is forever transformed, and the team witnesses the fall of a powerful enemy
Season Three
Earth signs a treaty with the Goa'uld to prevent invasion, but SG-1 continues to encounter deadly enemies -- including Sokar, a powerful rogue Goa'uld poised to conquer the galaxy
Season Four
Earth joins the fight against the Asgard's unstoppable enemy, and SG-1 discovers that the Russians have started a Stargate program. The team's arch enemy becomes more powerful than ever
Season Five
A powerful new Goa'uld enemy threatens to annihilate Earth and its allies. The System Lords renew their alliance, and one member of the team begins a new journey
Season Six
Jonas Quinn joins SG-1, and the team faces a powerful new Goa'uld threat. Colonel O'Neill is forever altered, and the Asgard's conflict with the Replicators comes to a head
Season Seven
Daniel Jackson rejoins the team after an incredible experience, as the team must find the Lost City of the Ancients to defeat a terrible enemy
Season Eight
Change is in the air at the S.G.C., as Jack O'Neill steps into the big shoes following General Hammond's reassignment. Old enemies prove they can't be written off so easily
Season Nine
Neither SG-1 nor Stargate Command will ever be the same when a new member joins the team, and a new commanding officer is assigned. An amazing new enemy reveals itself to Earth
Season Ten
The Milky Way Galaxy stands on the brink of destruction as the Ori worshippers invade, and Vala Mal Doran joins SG-1 to try and help stop them
