It’s getting to that time of year again when the Stargate Archive team are coming up with fresh ideas for the site, and were pleased to announce that in the coming weeks and months we are going to be making significant improvements and changes to the site for the better.
You may be wondering what we have planned for the site, so here is a list of what we are going to be rolling out very, very soon:
- Community forums upgrade to v4.02
- Upgrade of our news system
- Tighter integration with social networking
- Integrating our Wiki / Omnipedia with the Journal news system
- A re-designed site landing page
So far we have already upgraded the community forums to version 4.02, the other exciting changes we have planned will launch in the coming weeks and months as soon as our news publishing system back end software is upgraded to version 3. As we use WordPress to publish all of our news articles we are awaiting for the final release.
The re-designed site landing page will focus heavily on integrating all of the sites services, and our social networking platforms directly into the site and our news system.
We would like to re-assure all of our loyal visitors that we have no plans on changing the overall look and design of the site you have become used to, nor do we plan on imposing any banner ads.
All of the new changes coming to the Stargate Archive are going to be fresh, exciting, and novel and will greatly improve your day to day experience with the Stargate Archive, our numerous free services and the Stargate Franchise.
Stay tuned for more information.
Kind Regards,
The Stargate Archive Team

We just wanted to let you all know that we’ve added a new poll to the Stargate Archive where you can submit your vote on whether you like Stargate Universe’s Direction.
We would also like to apologise that the previous poll has been intermittently available. Since we have installed our new community forums we have experienced a few teething problems which have now been fully ironed out.
The Stargate Archive Team would like to apologise for any inconvenience these bugs may have caused.
Kind Regards,

The Stargate Archive are pleased to announce the immediate launch of our new community forums, whilst there are a few things still to do and launch the team are ready for the new community to go live.
One of the main benefits of our new forums is they are based off the popular v Bulleting suite and not out previous offering of a phpbb, you will notice a whole host of improvements such as:
- Create your own photo albums
- Quicker and easier navigation
- Akismet integration – this should help to reduce forum spam
- Imbed video directly from YouTube
- Create your own mailing lists
Unfortunately we have been unable to transfer over all of the data that was in our previous community, and therefore some topics and threads have been lost. Anyone who was previously registered will need to re-register, as we are still in the process of completing a work around to import all old user accounts.
We hope that you enjoy the new community forums, and interaction that is built directly into them. As always if you have any suggestions please do not hesitate to contact the Stargate Archive we value all feedback.
Kind Regards,
The Stargate Archive Team
