The lights have officially gone out on Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment development has halted, on the long awaited and seriously overdue Stargate Worlds and their latest release Stargate Resistance has been sold to a new studio.
The company itself has debts, liabilities and obligations in the region of $16 Million, $1.1 million being in payroll alone spanning back over the past 12 months.
To help cover the spiralling debt mountain the company has sold its recently released title Stargate Resistance to new start up ‘Fresh Studio’, fans can be rest assured that Stargate Resistance isn’t dead, with the game only having received an update days ago.
When the company filed for bankruptcy protection last month it blamed the decision to do so on its former chairman and CEO, alleging shady dealings that sent payments to a shell company he owns and reneged on the terms and payments of a stock purchase. At the time, the company indicated that the bankruptcy filing could have been pulled back. But if a court has come in to manage and/or sell off the company’s property, it looks like game over
It was only 6 weeks ago that saw the initial release of the Stargate Universe DVD and BLU-RAY 1.0 release, and now the studios have announced that Stargate Universe 1.5 is coming on July 13th 2010.

The Maricopa County Superior Court has ordered that Edward “Ted” Burr of Sierra Consulting Group (“Sierra”) be appointed as receiver to take over the assets, affairs, management, operation and control of Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment, Inc. (“CME”) and its subsidiary Cheyenne Mountain Games, Inc. (“CMG”). The term “Receiver” shall include assistants to Mr. Burr employed at Sierra.
Dale Belt, a Managing Director at Sierra, has begun the process of complying with the court order. Additionally, on Thursday afternoon of March 18th, Judge Sarah Curley of the United States Bankruptcy Court – District of Arizona ruled that the Receiver shall be recognized as the controlling managerial representative for CME in its Chapter 11 proceeding filed on February 12th.
The above actions have effectively ended the six week battle over control of the companies that began on February 3rd with the filing of a complaint in Superior Court by shareholder plaintiffs requesting appointment of a Receiver. As Receiver, Mr. Burr and Mr. Belt (and associates as necessary) will have full control over all aspects of CME and CMG. A copy of the order appointing receiver is attached. Communications from any parties other than the Receiver (written, email, phone or otherwise) should be ignored until further notice by the Receiver.

Simeon is a dangerous Lucian Alliance soldier. He was a seasoned criminal before being recruited by the Alliance. He’s strong and intimidating but more crafty and wiry than big and muscular. Scary in that you’re never sure what he will do. He also holds secrets that are desperately sought after by Earth and those on board Destiny — secrets he would die or worse, kill to protect. He’s an antagonist for several episodes before he finally comes into serious conflict with Robert Carlyle’s character Rush and they are forced to face off.
